
ALISON REYNOLDS
UF Quest 1 Co-Leader
Dr. Reynolds oversees the University Writing Program at UF and holds the rank of Instructional Professor. She leads curriculum design, faculty development, and pedagogical innovation, maintaining high standards in writing instruction.
She earned her PhD in Rhetoric from Texas Woman’s University (2009), following her MA (2002) and BA (1999) from Midwestern State University. Her teaching spans a diverse set of courses—including first-year writing (ENG 1001, ENC 1101), writing across the disciplines, political rhetoric and social media, innovation in healthcare, and creativity studies.
Dr. Reynolds’s pedagogical interests embrace composition pedagogy, assessment, multi-modal teaching, design thinking, innovation, and creativity. She’s also passionate about study abroad, travel, and reading, and encourages students with her motto: “Write badly first”.
