
JOEL PARKER
Quest 3 Liaison
Joel L. Parker serves as Assistant Director of Engineering Student Development and First-Year Advising within UF’s Division of Student Affairs. Based in office 270, Weil Hall, he plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting new engineering students at UF.
Holding an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and advanced graduate study in Art History at UF, Parker brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective that merges art, education, and engineering. He leads innovative experiences for students through UF’s “Engineering & Arts” study abroad program in Lille, France, which integrates sketchbook-based coursework with cultural immersion to develop creative thinking and cross-disciplinary engagement.
In recognition of his contributions to student learning, he received the 2022 International Educator of the Year award from UF’s College of Engineering.
