Dr. John S. Krigbaum is Professor and Chair of Anthropology at the University of Florida. His research focuses on bioarchaeology, stable isotope analysis, paleodiet, and human migration, with fieldwork spanning Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the Americas.

He directs UF’s Bone Chemistry Lab and specializes in reconstructing ancient diets and mobility patterns through biogeochemical methods. Dr. Krigbaum earned his Ph.D. from New York University and has served on editorial boards for journals such as Bioarchaeology International and the American Journal of Physical Anthropology.

His publications include edited volumes and numerous articles on prehistoric human ecology, health, and cultural change, making him a leading figure in the field of archaeological science.
